The Tactic

This one is pretty simple:

  • Tell people you'll increase prices on one of your products

  • Add a time constraint related to Black Friday (for example, the day after Cyber Monday)

  • Watch your sales skyrocket

🕵️‍♂️ How to steal it?

If you have been considering changing the price of one of your products, using it as a communication excuse could be a wise move.

Two steps:

  1. Announce you will be increasing prices

  2. Allow people to purchase at the old price for 1 more week

You don’t even need to offer a discount; you just need to claim that the price will go up, which will be enough for most people.

The only thing you need to remember with this tactic is to stay true to your claim.

You risk losing your credibility if you say the price for one of your products changes, and then it immediately reverts to the original price after the promotion ends.
